Dunhill Model 6174 Col. 42 Eyeglasses
As the 1980s turned into the 1990s, British design firm Dunhill evolved their styles according to the demands of the time. Outsized shapes became more understated, with these Model 6174 eyeglasses fusing the marque's signature opulent materials and made-in-Austria build quality with the organic forms that dominated that decade. These Model 6174 eyeglasses are designated Color 42, which denotes dark brown tortoise acetate around the lenses and on the temple tips.
The rest of the frame is in Dunhill's 18k gold-plated, rhodanized metal with repeating forms across the bridge and temples that evoke British barley. The signature "dunhill" logo appears on the temples and an arched top bar adds stability to the frames. Capped with a Comfort Fit bridge which flexes and allows for all-day wearability, these fine vintage eyeglasses have been top-of-the-line since the day they debuted.
