In Manhattan in the '70s, Linda Rae Tepper and Steve M. Abrams started an antique shop, The Ruby Slippers. Fascinated by the representative models "ARNEL" and "F.D.R." of "Tart Optical" that were handled in deadstock, they actually asked "Tart Optical" to manufacture them. This enthusiasm was so good that "Shady Character" was born by manufacturing at "Tart Optical". For this reason, there are many models of "Shady Character" frames that are inspired by "Tart Optical" frames.
In addition, in this release, Tommy OʼGara, who has been involved in many domestic and international eyewear designs, is the brand direction, and the creative direction is the strongest tag team of American artist Michael Carney (Michael Carney), which was popular in the 70s ~ 80s. It will be arranged and reprinted according to their ideas, and a new collection inspired by American-style designs and graphics will also be released as an original design line. Linda Rae Tepper and Steve M. Abrams will serve as advisors.
