1961, Stuttgart, Germany... A prime example of a European eyewear line evolving from medical device designation to avant gard accessorizing essential. With the pioneering efforts of owner Walter Stufer, the pursuit to establish Neostyle with distinction by manufacturing fashion eyewear of a highly durable technical base with a penchant for character and personality.

Lore would maintain that the Nautic collection, designed by Konstantin Livas would launch Neostyle into the annals of eyewear history. 1972, Elvis Presley performs Madison Square Garden whilst donning the Nautic 2. In doing so, instantly casting the design as the cornerstone of the line's repertoire. Insomuch, that the line immediately gains monumental traction! Admittedly, fashion eyewear at this period in history was still relatively in its infancy. Fashion houses out of Europe; eyewear manufactories would slowly find their designs gradually wading into the appetite of American fashion. Neostyle wasn't any different. Yet, throughout the 1970s, Neostyle would find itself adorning the faces of the celebrated public, abound! David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, Sammy Davis, Jr., Neostyle was something of a bellwether in fashion eyewear in the 1970s

From the mid-1970s, onward Neostyle would go onto release collections of such repute and distinction, like the Boutique collection. The Boutique 660, known admirably as the "Rolex Neostyle" was released in the mid-1980s. Overly, ostentatious and opulent, it retains one of the more coveted appeals in the vintage eyewear collecting world. Although, there isn't any affiliation to the watchmaking company, the Boutique 660 was designed in homage to the precision of the watch-tinkering industry by employing the Rolex 'Jubilee'  bracelet design as featured on the Oyster Perpetual. Highly limited in release, the Neostyle 660 further appeals to the collector's interests. Imbued with such marvel,, it's such a simple design, really. Yet, coupled with a craft in quality, inherent to the ideals of Neostyle of the 1980s.
